So it didn't go to well right off the start i put a couple deep holes in my leg warming up, my foot slipped off the pedal and smacked my shin/knee had to go get it bandaged up not the best thing to do before the competition, but anyway the first 4-5 sections were hard to get into just couldn't settle down and get into a rythm. About 6 sections in i started to ride like normal and getting out of the sections in good time really happy with some of the rides i done. As for the setions there was manmade sections proper natural rocks real slippery nd greasy and mud banks one of them u would have loved to go down it was mega steep. Most of the section was complete balls out to get through which is completely different to the uk competitions. I had to ride completely different to what i had to back at home on some of the sections they were designed to tactically dab and land on the bash plate and use the pedal to lift your self up and get out, i havn't rode like that for a long time but it made a nice change and all in all really enjoyed the weekend it was a real eye opener and look forward to the next one. As for where i finished i came 19th out of about 34 finishers, overall i feel like i can do better but it was the first time i have gone abroad and didn't really know what to expect but it gives me a good target to beat next time.
