mathew burge drops us his winning blog
focused on the job,
mat riding in the vandal designs ransom overload tee.
mat slaying the section in style
power and flow
we give you mathew burge! your two time national champion!
last sunday was the final round of the 2009 british biketrials championship and i had to win no matter what to secure the championship and take home the trophy. I started the day not expecting very much i hadn't ridden my bike for a while and arm pump and cramp was gonna b an issue so i went off into the woods and got a really good warm up session and started the comp with a good amount of confidence i felt like i had gelled with the bike pritty well and just needed to put it down in the sections. The first section i under estimated the speed at which i had to take to get through and didn't make it which really kicked me in gear for the rest of the day. As the day went on i started to get more faster and more precise hittin the lines first time and keepin a rhythm. I had a respectable first lap score of 20 marks lost but needed to cut out the silly mistakes for the second lap to make sure i was in good intention of a win and did so by only droppin 10 marks on the second lap i finished the day on 30 marks lost and 2nd place dropped 40 marks which secured me the win for the day and winning the championship .
